Periodic and Quarterly Events


Periodic  events are scheduled throughout the year and occur once a quarter or on a short term basis. Please check The FCC website, Facebook page, “New” quarterly brochures or call for more information, dates and times. Some programs require membership and other programs or events are open to the public.

Travel the world from the comfort of your chair! Local travelers share experiences, photos, and so much more Enjoy light snacks and refreshments before the presentation.

Become more sure-footed and steady on your feet! We will work on posture, walking gait, alignment, strength, symmetry and visually grounding ourselves.  Better balance reduces falls and injuries during daily living.

Bowl with The FCC at Mountainhome Bowling Center. Exercise, have fun and enjoy a little friendly competition. Instruction available.  All levels of bowlers welcome.
Time: Every Friday beginning October 4th – November 22nd
Cost: $8 per person, includes 2 games and shoe rental- payment made to bowling center – Sign up required

So you are ready to retire- Now what? Looking at the importance of retiring with a purpose.

Join us for a free, unbiased informative Medicare Open Enrollment presentation. Medicare plans can (and often do) change each year, with new health plan and prescription drug coverage choices. Learn how to have your current health and prescription coverage reviewed this fall, to be sure your plan is still right for you.  You may be able to save money with your 2020 health care costs!

Whether or not we realize it, some of the critical issues facing the world, climate change, pollution, homelessness and hunger affect us here at home. Join us for a series of presentations and Q & A by local organizations involved in these issues, and learn what is happening right here in our towns and how you might contribute to change.

Meet every Tuesday for easy hikes to beautiful areas of the community. Participants exercise while enjoying time with others and our wonderful natural resources. A list of scheduled hikes will be available at the first walk.
