  • Coming soon you will be able to pay via Pay Pal on our website or at The FCC by Debit/Visa

• Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
• Please do not register for more programs than you plan to attend. If you are unable to attend a session, please notify the instructor in advance or call The FCC.
• If membership fees and/or materials fees are required to participate in a program, fees must be paid before registration is considered complete.
• Some programs and events have maximum group sizes so you might receive a pending approval message at the time of registration. Look for a follow-up email to confirm your registration.
• The Friendly Community Center reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment.

If you enjoy birds, join Darryl & Jackie Speicher of Pocono Avian Research Center for monthly meetings of the BBC at The FCC. Meetings will include informational programs, discussion of birds and seasonal birding opportunities, including walks and other birding activities throughout the year.

Try a dance class designed to benefit members of the Parkinson’s community, as well as those with arthritis, trouble with balance, and other movement issues. Gentle dance, rhythm, and stretching movements improve flexibility and focus attention on eyes, ears, and touch as tools to assist in movement and balance.

An ongoing free program by the CDC designed for people with prediabetes and elevated A1C. It is also for people who are at high risk for type 2 diabetes and want to lower their risk. With this CDC approved curriculum and trained Coach, The Prevent T2 lifestyle change program can help you lose weight, become more physically active and reduce stress.

Meet every Tuesday for easy hikes to beautiful areas of the community. Participants exercise while enjoying time with others and our wonderful natural resources. A list of scheduled hikes will be available at the first walk.
Time: Tuesdays at 9 AM (June thru October, weather permitting)
Location: Meets in Mountainhome U.M.C. parking lot

Spend the afternoon with other women to practice the art of nurturing ourselves through  yoga, meditation, compassion and journaling. Yoga performed on the floor and in seated formats. Dress in loose or yoga clothing. Bring a journal and yoga mat, if possible.
